2. Details of Components and Internal Circuit Diagram
2.1 Details of Components
2.2 Internal Circuit Diamgram
Refer to the diagram below.
The 8 terminals (for sensors) are supplied by the same power (24V DC). The output of each sensor is connected to an embedded opto-isolator and the signals are processed in a logic IC. The IC based on the status of 8 inputs to control the coil of relay.
The 8 terminals can be enabled or disabled by 8 switches separately. (ON - Enabled, OFF - Disabled).
3. AND Gate Logic Introduction and Expansion
3.1 AND Gate Logic
Take Module with 8 Channels as example.
As explained in table below, only when all the inputs from sensors are On, can the result of module be ON.
If anyone of the input is Off, no matter what inputs the others are, the output of module is OFF.
The inputs can be from various sensors (NPN/PNP).
e.g. If model AND-SC-N is purchased, all the sensors shall be NPN type.
3.2 DIP Switch
DIP = Dual In-line Package Switch.
When the number of inputs is less than the number of channels, the DIP switch of un-used channel can be switched to ON.
Refer to the picture below for an example. There are 4 inputs from sensors. The un-used 4 channels are switched ON by the DIP switches.
3.3 Expansion if number of inputs is a few times of 8.
If more than 8 sensors are needed, multiple modules can be connected in series.
