8 1/2 INCHES X 5 3/8 INCHES WEIR GATE WITH SNAP-ON TABS - This weir gate assembly model is 8.5 inches wide and 5.37 inches high. It has 1/8-inch pins that snap in place on matching indentations on the skimmer unit. Please first measure your existing skimmer weir gate or check the compatible part number for your pool skimmer model

How to Remove and Install a Weir Gate Assembly This weir model has a snap-on tab design. The tabs flex inwards to enable them to fit and then snap into their designated slots within the skimmer unit. But first, here are steps you have to follow to install the weir flap/gate properly: 1.You need to first turn off both the pool’s filter and pump. 2.If the old weir gate is still in place, you’ll need to open the skimmer lid and access the old weir gate from there. 3.The locking pins are at the bottom of the weir gate. Feel around for the tabs and press both tabs inwards simultaneously. Once free, pull the old weir gate out from the skimmer lid. 4.You’ll need to install the new weir gate from the front/poolside of the skimmer. First, insert the weir into the skimmer. To make the process easier, insert the weir gate sideways and insert one pin first. Press the tab against its slot to depress it, making it easier for you to insert the other pin. 5.Once both pins are in the right position, let go of the weir gate to release the depressed tab and enable both pins to snap in place.
