PROBLEM: Plastic. Over 40% of plastic comes from product packaging (We're changing that!) 80 Billion plastic bottles disposed of around the world each year are from shampoo & conditioner alone. 8 Million tons of plastic end up in the ocean every year. 9/10 fish have ingested microplastics according to studies. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the sea than fish. Only 9% of ALL plastic ever made has been recycled, and the products in them are typically made up of 70-95% water.
SOLUTION: Concentrates. We provide naturally derived and sustainably sourced active ingredients in a compostable cardboard box, and you add the water! One concentrate saves 23.7 fl oz. of water and 1 plastic bottle from manufacture and disposal into landfill. Ethique is New Zealand's highest scoring Bcorp as well as carbon fiber neutral and living wage employer.
JOURNEY: To date we saved our planet from over 9 million plastic bottles! GENTLE BODY LOTION CONCENTRATE-UNSCENTED: Body lotion for dry or sensitive skin. Each concentrate makes 11.83 fl oz. of creamy body lotion. Free from plastic and palm oil but jammed full of delicious ingredients like cocoa butter. Simply mix the concentrated bars of cocoa butter and coconut oil with boiling water and you've got a fresh batch of nourishing body lotion. Made with naturally derived and ethically sourced ingredients and packaged in certified compostable cardboard packaging.
