Product Details
Minimized Friction: This pair of bent axles for Pinewood Derby have two grooves which act as a graphite store and minimize friction. The angled underside of the head also reduces wheel contact.
Mirror Finish: Each axle is nickel plated for a shiny mirror finish. This technique yields even better results than traditional bent polished axles. You’ll see the difference on the race track!
Strategic Bend: The engineered 2.5 degree bend in each bent axle is perfect for canting the rear axles of your derby car, optionally making it primed for rail riding during the race.
Easy to Turn: There are Easy Turn screwdriver slots cut on the outside of each derby axle head, so the axles can be turned with a screwdriver without creating damage.
Designed for Super Speed: These derby car bent axles are made from Pinewood Pro’s Grooved Super Speed Axles for the best in speed advantages. Simply fine tune and take to the track!
Product Description
Pinewood Pro’s bent axles are machined, polished, and nickel-plated PRO axles with 2 grooves and bent 2.5 degrees. Bent axles require fine-tuning adjustment, so this product includes our "Easy Turn" screwdriver slot in the axle heads to easily turn them without causing damage. These axles are made from Pinewood Pro's Grooved Super Speed Axles.

These axles are machined and are not from the Official Kit, so some derby race rules do not allow these axles. As always, check your rules! We recommend Pinewood Pro's bent official polished axles if there’s doubt over race eligibility.

These axles are typically used to adjust the cant of the rear axles on your derby car, so your rear wheels migrate towards the nail head rather than the car body. This technique reduces friction. They can also be used to create a rail rider car. We recommend Pinewood Pro's 1.5 degree bent steering axle to steer the front wheels.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Each package contains two (2) bent axles.
THE 2.5 DEGREE BEND IS A VERY SLIGHT BEND THAT IS DIFFICULT TO SEE WITH THE NAKED EYE. However, if you roll the bent axle on a flat surface, you will see that it does not roll smoothly compared to an unbent axle.
Each axle is individually packaged so it is not scratched during shipping.

Trust the pros and engineers at Pinewood Pro - We've been helping win derbies for over 25 years with our precision-engineered and designed parts.
