The word “retro” refers to the recent past. The Retro Dot Collection echoes the staying power of some 20th century designs, starting with the studded ring details on the hardware plates. Bubbles and filials are incorporated into several pieces, notably cabinet, door, and refrigerator pulls. The collection pulls together around decorative stems featured on the two-post toilet paper holder and robe hook. These stems are repeated throughout the collection on wall-mounted mirrors, glass shelves, and towel bars. And while clamps are hardly modern or retro (daVinci used them), the clamps we used to seal glass shelves to Retro Dot shelves are throwbacks to the early part of the century, much like the design in our Pipeline Collection.
