The ocean floor was created through sonar imaging to create the bathymetry (a visual representation and measurement of the water depth). The result is a stunning 3D illusion that showcases every detail of the world’s varied terrain.

The text on the map may be difficult to read due to the small font size, and the age of the map. In areas where relief shading covers the text, the underlying text is illegible.
